Terms & Conditions

Otto & Nibs reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. When placing an order with Otto & Nibs, you are accepting the following terms and conditions. 


Quotes

Quotes are valid for 28 days from the date of issue


Orders

An order will only be fulfilled once full payment has been received and cleared. Otto & Nibs will not take any responsibility for delay in delivery due to late payments.


It is recommended that you order plenty of spare stationary at the time of ordering. Due to high printing costs we cannot add extra printed items onto your order once the order has been sent to print. If you would like additional invitations after they have been sent to print the cost is likely to be higher per invite than the original order.

Bespoke orders

For all bespoke orders a 50% deposit is payable before work starts. In the event of a cancellation, all work that exceeds the deposit must be paid for. The 50% deposit is non-refundable once confirmation of work has started. 

Payments for bespoke orders will be accepted via Stripe or BACs. We will send these details along with the payment invoice once you have placed your order.

We supply up to three formal proofs free of charge with our bespoke design service where changes can be made to layout and wording of your design. Only minor adjustments can be made to illustration work. For any significant amendments to illustration work there will be a re-artwork fee charged per hourly rate.


Deadlines

If any deadlines are not met by the client such as providing information or paying any outstanding balance Otto & Nibs is not expected to meet the deadlines of proofs, printing or delivery and cannot be held responsible for delay of dispatch.

Colours

Please note that colours on screen will always look slightly different to the printed versions. This is due to screen calibration of each monitor. If you have provided a colour swatch we will make every effort to match as closely as possible.

If you make multiple orders at different times, please also note that colours may slightly vary between print runs due to the printing company and their printing equipment calibration. If you want to ensure that all of your wedding stationary has consistent colours throughout, it is recommended that all of your stationary is printed at the same time. 

All card-stocks absorb ink in different ways so colours may also differ if you order two products with two different card-stocks.


Folded Design

Gatefold design - With the gatefold style there may be a slight misalignment where the two front panels meet. With the complex process of producing a gatefold invitation it’s almost impossible to be 100% perfect. Rest assured, we will only ever send out invitations after quality checking them and are satisfied with the finish. This also applies to any other folded design.

Information

When supplying information for your order please ensure that all information is correct. Proofs will be supplied to double check this information, however, high accuracy will require less proofing and speed up lead times. Once proofs have been approved and sent for production Otto & Nibs will not take responsibility for any spelling mistakes or grammar errors. Please check over proofs carefully to ensure this does not happen as this can incur further production costs in the event of reprints. 


Proofs

Up to three set of amendments are included in the quoted prices. The client agrees that any amendments or changes past the included three proofs will be charged at a per hour rate. Only minor changes can be made to illustration work. For any major changes such as re-art working an hourly rate will be calculated.

Proofs will be sent via email as a digital PDF file. This is to ensure colours, layout, spelling and grammar are correct. You are responsible for checking the PDF proof. Otto & Nibs will endeavour to check this for you also, however if proofs are approved by you and sent to production Otto & Nibs will take no responsibility for any errors. We do not supply physical proofs. However, should you wish to see a physical proof there will be a charge of £40 plus P&P for a printed invitation with no foiling and £60 plus P&P for a foiled copy.

Designs

All designs and illustrations are copyright and property of Otto & Nibs. You or a third party cannot copy or reproduce designs in any part or in any way unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Social Media

Unless asked by the client to wait until their invitations have been sent to guests Otto & Nibs reserves the right to upload images or work of current or previous design projects to social media channels or website.


Copyright

When supplying information for your ‘on the day’ stationery such as hymns, poems, or songs; it is solely the clients responsibility to ensure that you have permission to use the material and you indemnify Otto & Nibs against action brought against it for breach of a third party’s copyright.

Safety

Please be aware that some designs may include small details or parts that are not suitable for children. For example Ribbon.


Lead times

 - Bespoke orders

For all bespoke orders you will be contacted within 48hrs where we will discuss designs and details and a 50% deposit will be payable to begin design work. Once designs have been confirmed and the 50% deposit has cleared, designing will begin and depending on the complexity of the design you will be sent the first proof within 2-4 weeks. Once approved your finished wedding stationary will be printed and delivered within 7-14 working days. These lead times are for guideline only. With each project being so unique you will be given official lead times based on your design requirements at time of order.

Postage and packaging

We post all orders tracked and require a signature to provide proof of receipt. Otto & Nibs take extreme care in packaging and posting your orders. In the unlikely event your parcel suffers damage please write ‘DAMAGED’ when signing for the parcel and report this to Otto & Nibs within 24hrs via email. Failure to do so will impede a claim that is made and will mean that Otto & Nibs cannot replace your items free of charge. 

Payment

We accept payments via BACs or Stripe. We do not accept cash payments.

Cancellations and refunds

- Bespoke orders

There will be no option for refunds with bespoke orders due to the significant amount of work that goes into the production of one off designs. A concept sketch is provided during the design process to ensure you are happy with the design before final design and illustration work begins.

If there are any damages due to postage please see the ‘postage and packaging’ section above.


Cancellations of order

The 50% deposit is non refundable and cancellations cannot be made 24 hours after the payment has been made. If due to unforeseen circumstances Otto & Nibs cannot fulfil the order a full refund will be issued. Please allow 14 working days for refunds to appear.
